Iran movie ‘Abji’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 13th edition of the International Orthodox Film Festival in Russia.
Directed by Marjan Ashrafzadeh, ‘Abji’ (The Sis) is to represent Iran at the Russian film event.
The film narrates the story of two women, a mother and his daughter, who have lived together for more than 50 years, but the situation doesn’t remain the same and the separation time arrives.
Co-written by Marjan Ashrafizadeh, Ali Asghari and Nahid Tabatabaei, ‘Abji’ deals with the issues related to women and the difficulties they face in life.
Golab Adineh, Masoumeh Qasemipour, Pantea Panahiha, Hamidreza Azarang, Babak Hamidiyan and Shirin Yazdanbakhsh are the main stars of the flick.
The movie won the best feature film award at the 4th edition of the Afghanistan International Women Film Festival.
Founded in 2005, the International Orthodox Film Festival is held every year in Obninsk, Russia.
The 2018 edition of the event is slated for February 11-16, 2018.
